Rules & Regulations

Global Photo Guild organizes quarterly collections for wedding photographers of all levels, from amateurs to seasoned professionals. By participating, you agree to the following guidelines:

  • Eligibility & Accounts
    • Skill Level: We welcome photographers of all levels, from amateurs to seasoned professionals.
    • Account Type: Each photographer must create and use their own individual account. Studio or shared accounts are not permitted. If multiple photographers work within the same studio, each must maintain a separate account for submission.
  • Subject Matter & Style
    • Theme: All submissions must depict subjects related to weddings and the celebration of love. This includes wedding ceremonies, receptions, pre-wedding events (engagement shoots, bridal portraits), post-wedding celebrations, and guest imagery.
    • Creative Freedom: We accept all styles of wedding photography, including portraits, candid documentary shots, detail shots, and creative interpretations.
  • Technical Requirements
    • Resolution: All photos must have a minimum resolution of 1400 pixels on the shorter side. Submissions below this threshold will be automatically disqualified.
    • Formatting: Photographs containing watermarks, frames, borders, or logos will not be accepted.
    • Image Integrity: Basic adjustments (cropping, color correction, sharpening) are permitted. Digital manipulation that materially alters the content is prohibited, with the exception of multi-exposures.
    • Verification: To ensure authenticity, Global Photo Guild reserves the right to request RAW files for review.
  • Selection Process
    • Review Process: Our team will review all submissions, and selected photos will be showcased in our online exhibitions.
    • Evaluation System: To ensure a fair and objective selection, our team assign marks to each individual selected photo based on technical skill, composition, creativity and storytelling. In the event of a tie during final evaluations, these individual marks will be used to determine the final ranking and selection.
  • Annual Awards & Recognition
    • Annual Program: Photographers with the most photos selected throughout the year will be recognized in our annual awards program.
    • Identity Verification: The Top 10 Photographers of the Year are required to submit valid identification for nationality verification and ID proof before the official winners are announced or before the dispatching of trophies.
  • Copyright & Ownership
    • Copyright: Photographers retain copyright to their images but grant Global Photo Guild (Demand Oriented Solutions) a non-exclusive license to use submitted photos for promotional purposes related to the competition (e.g., website, social media, marketing materials). Proper credit will be given.
    • Ownership Affirmation: Participants affirm they are the sole author and copyright owner of all submitted work. Participants agree to fully indemnify Global Photo Guild and its team from any and all claims arising from copyright infringement.
    • Indemnity & Forfeiture: Participants agree to fully indemnify Global Photo Guild and its team from any and all claims, royalties, fees, or other liabilities arising from any copyright infringement. In the event that a disqualification occurs after a trophy has been awarded, the trophy must be returned by the participant.
